That would support your claim, ASSUMING that every make/model of player is different than every other one...i.e. is it truly a RANDOM sample of DVD players? If every player where +R doesn't work is 10 years old, and/or is the same brand, then it's not a truly representative cross-section of what the consumer population is using.

I make my estimate based on actual sales data from actual customers in the real world. They wouldn't keep re-ordering from me if my DVD's didn't work in their players.

Sorry but we have about 30-40 DVD videoplayers (non-PC) in the office and about 80% work well with DVD+R and 100% with DVD-R.

Its me the annonymous mail from above.

As I keep saying, the compatibility of +R is being grossly underestimated.  I use this format and have sold hundreds of them worldwide, and have not had a single compatibility complaint, which tells me that the actual compatibility is more like 98-99%.

I also feel more comfortable knowing that most of the major tech companies and PC manufacturers are now supporting +R instead of -R.

Can you technical types help me out? I am thinking of getting a DVD burner,I need to know whether to go for DVD R+ or DVD R- as the local PC world didnt convince me one way or the other. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
