I don't think the forum is the place to go into these matters but I'm afraid you have left me no alternative but to respond.

When the offer was first announced you mailed me to ask if I would send you the tape first and then you would send me the full year subscription in installments by post.

I told that you that you needed to pay the full amount as a single payment, which you didn't do.

Paypal was available on the site several days before the offer closed- but you waited until several weeks after the closure date before you contacted me.

You said you you wouldn't join unless I gave you a free tape.

Hundreds of people have been happy with the arrangements we have made with regard to sign ups and special offers, but quite franky when a special offer is announced it it not the basis for negotiations, it is an offer.

If you had wanted to join the site and obtain the free tape, you had lots of oppertunites- the same as everyone else. You decided that you wanted to do things differently, so it's no good complaining about it when it doesn't work out for you.

Maybe it's true that there is no gold mine in your backyard.

On the other hand I was willing to spend 99 bucks for joining

your site. Because of the fact that you were not interested in my money (I wanted to get your additional free tape but within that time you were unable to accept PayPal payments)

I think your business is pretty fine ! I hope so !

Probably didn't realise it was an advert for the members site that was placed on the on the freesite.

As he said- nothing's for free. Cost me $1500 last year to host the freesite and for bandwidth charges.

In the absence of a money tree or a gold mine in the back yard, the money has to come from somewhere. It comes from the members site or the sale of tapes/DVD's.

I could put the money in my pocket, but prefer to give something back to the community.

Guess that's lost on some dimwits though. Especially those who are too cowardly to use a proper name or email address.

StyxFreeWorld is FREE. Did you have to pay to get in and see the images? I think not. In my book, that's free. As was styx-photography.com before it.

Most of the photos from the old site will be loaded to the new one. Free content will be added every week. So far, I haven't seen a cost for this to you. One of us is not looking carefully enough I think (and it's not me).

The old site, styx-photography.com, handed out 50Gb of free content every month to people and no-one paid to see it. Styxfreeworld will be the same. 50Gb is a lot - probably around 10 times what many pay sites offer.

Conversely, StyxWetWorld is by monthly (or alternative) payments to get to the premium content.
