Yes, it is tradition on the Easter Monday. It names "oblievacka" - translation is aproximate "fresh showering".
Especialy in middle and east Slovakia. Boys are visiting girls and freshing their with the cold water. They using pails, favorite is bathtub or shower in bathrooms. On the countryside is historical tradition, when boys throwing girls in the ponds or creeks. Girls mostly wears casual clothes, in countryside, historical formal wear (like dirndl in the Germany). Slovak girls like this tradition but only personal or close society (for example close family) They donīt like public visitors. I support some main news on Easter Monday in slovak TV stations (Markiza, JOJ or TA3), because there will "freshing" girls moderators on report from this tradition somwhere in countryside in Slovakia. |
