No, clothes tend to trap air so swimming in clothes can feel very boyeant and light - unless you stay in the water for quite a while when they get more water-logged and heavy - but by then you would be tiring anyway - it is a standard life saving technique to use clothes with trapped air as floatation aids - you would have a better chance of not drowning with clothes on than if you fell in the water in swim-wear or naked - and in swimming for fun there is nothing to compare to the feel of wet clothing - only heavy coats, or boots or having lots of things in your pockets would made boouyancy more challenging - Wet Denim will tend to get cold quickly in contact with air, and out of water, wet clothes can feel heavier, but in and under water the clothing tends to go very light and floaty around you. - if in doubt experiment inthe shallws of the lake/ sea or when possible and permissable in the shallow end of a pool.
