We have a cool new feature being launched on http://www.thewambank.com  today. We have now set up media relationship  feeds with Youtube, Myspace, MetaCafe, Daily Motion, Google Video, Soapbox (msn), Grouper, Vpod (for portable users), and Veoh video.

We will be receiving incoming "web videos" from 9 different sites, and those will automatically be fed to thewambank site every 6 hours. The video feeds are set up, based upon the most popular top 20 keywords most commonly used by wam fans on thewambank site. We have been beta-testing this feature on our Oopsbank site for the past 3 weeks,and based on test results on our other bank this will mean approx 800 to 1000 new videos being added PER DAY to the wambank site, so as you can imagine, with 1000 incoming videos per day, we will not be able to moderate these videos ourselves, and we will deferring to our media partners at Youtube etc. and their moderators will moderate the content and remove any videos that are reported to be content violations or copyright infringements etc. FYI these will be called "web videos" and will not be mixed in with our own wambank users videos, they will be in a different section on the site, so you will not see any changes to the main wambank video pages that our users create, only now at the base of each page you will now see a new section for the web videos that came in too.

FOR YOUTUBE COLLECTORS: You will now have a great tool where you can store all the links to your favorite youtube, metacafe, daily motion,  myspace etc videos.....all in one simple place. The feeds from all these sites will come into the wambank automatically every 6 hrs (based on our defined keywords) and then all you have to do is store your favorite web videos to your wambank user profile. So you can now store links from 9 different web video sites, plus our wambank videos, all in one easy place -- your wambank user account profile.

Now of course, keywords are not a perfect science, and many people use the same keywords we use in the wam world....for mainstream purposes too. For example, the word "pie" or "wet" can produce loads of irrevelant media that has nothing to do with wam scenes, but "baking a pie" or a "wet dog" etc. We have endeavoured to fine tune the keywords as finely as we can...to produce the most "on topic" results as possible, by grouping words together...i.e '"pie girl" or "wet girl" etc. Of course there will always be irrevelant results, but just ignore those. You do not need to wade thru all the 1000+ incoming web videos each day.... we have linked the web videos function to our Wambank search engine... so just use our search entire to list only those results that are you looking for, and ignore the rest etc.

"Youtuber hunters" (those of you who post links to youtube on the forums each day), you guys are the experts at finding the best new youtubes, so if you want to see those kinds of scenes being picked up automatically and indexed by our wambank video feeds system, then you can help us finetune our video feeds keywords database, by contacting us and letting us know what your favorite search terms are on Youtube etc, Tell us the search terms that you find work the best for you, and then we will add those terms to our auto feeds system and then you can save your time hunting for new Youtubes every day, cos our system can automatically pick them up for you, and then all you have to do is go to the new web videos section on thewambank and file them in your favorites folder etc.

FOR WAM PRODUCERS: We are well aware of the recent discussions on UMD about people who rip off your media and then post it on Youtube. FYI...we are wam producers too, and our media from our other wam models sites ALSO gets ripped and put on Youtube ALL THE TIME too -- it is a common problem. It happens to all producers. Our video feed links are automatic and totally non-discriminatory, so if some rotter posts your stuff or our stuff on Youtube,  that will also get sucked back into our feeds system and end up on the wambank site too. But don't be upset about this. Think of this as a good control feature and policing method you can use. Now you do not have to search 9 different web videos sites to see who is ripping off your media, you can just check what comes into our wambank feeds system in one easy place, and you or your supporters can easily spot it, and then identify the user who created it, and then file a complaint with Youtube to have that user suspended and Youtube moderators will remove that video from their site, which will also disable the video feed from our site too. So, look at this feed system as a simple control tool for you to be able to track who is putting up your stuff on Youtube etc, and then you can easily spot it and get it removed and the user suspended from that service etc.

Lastly....HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND SAVE WEB VIDEOS WITH ONE CLICK.....we have included a tips page with info on a great tool where you can download and save Youtube videos and other web videos as they play online. No more of these "cut and paste" methods, this method is the easiest way to download Youtubes and other web videos on our site....with just one click of your mouse. All you have to do is use the Firefox browser, with the "Download Helper" add-on in your tool bar. With this method, you get a grey icon in your browsers toolbar, and when the youtube video starts to play, the grey icon turns into rotating colors, and then you click on that icon and can directly save the video to your pc.
