Those photosets in Fiesta were submitted by Colin Twyford (a longtime friend of Roger Carpenter, the Aquantics producer in the UK). His most famous photoset that we all remember (cos I bought that magazine edition too) was his "Bride in the Bath" series, and later he had other wetlook photosets published in Fiesta in 1974 too. I use to have all those mags, but I gave them away to other wetlook fans about 10 years ago.
I think some of those photos from Fiesta were scanned and posted on JJ's vintage wetlook site...so have a browse around the pages on his site....
If you want to know more about Colin and those old Fiesta magazine shoots from the early 70's, have a chat to Roger at his site...

Roger knew Colin very well. Sadly Colin passed away 4-5 years ago, due to health problems he had while working in Bahrain.
Also, for infos about Fiesta Magazine....you should email Bill Shipton at Splosh magazine....cos Bill used to be a writer for Fiesta and Mayfair in the 1970's, so he is an expert on matters to do with Paul Raymond's magazine empire. Raymond must have liked wetlook, cos not only did he feature it in his other magazines like Mayfair and Razzle too....he also used to enjoy getting his girlfriend into see thru wetlook outfits too....i.e. Paul Raymond's girlfriend was 70's adult superstar Fiona Richmond, and there are some nice wet clothing scenes of her in various pictorials and in her 1976 movie movie "Expose" there is a nice see thru wet dress scene.
I remember some nice wetlook scenes Fiona also did in Paul Raymond's 1974 stage production of "Pajama Tops" at the Whitehall theatre near Trafalgar Square. This was like a Brian Rix farce with a swimming pool on stage...and the girls all went in the pool clothed at times.....I went to see that show 3 times. I also remember seeing Fiona pulling up to the theatre in her E Type Jag that Raymond bought for her....it had a great licence plate.... FU 2

By Carl - Thu 06/09/07 10:58:23 GMT Hello, Has anyone got any old fiesta magazines from the 70 and 80's which included wetlook in them? I can remember seeing one once of several women in the bath fully clothed. If not can anyone tell me which issues of fiesta they were? Thank you. Carl. |
