Hallo everybody. I was born in the late 50s and when about twelve or 13 years old saw girls jumping into the sea to make their jeans shrink and give them the used look. Anybody who is a little older will remember that jeans were always dark blue when brandnew in those days and the desired "hippie-look" required extensive

misuse. Well, that is how my fascination for wetlok started. My wife, being a little younger than me, was a too decent girl to have done anything like that, but I have managed to spoil her in the meantime. For some time she has enjoyed clothed  swimming and wearing dripping wet tops and jeans/ cut-offs at the beach in full view of everybody.

I sometimes wonder whether all those girls who must now be ladies in their  early 50s or late 40s are still remembering that they got into the bathtub in their new jeans, rubbed them with aggressive detergents and brushes when taking showers and kept wearing the wet jeans till they had dried at their skins.

My job gets me into contact to young people a lot and I sometimes tell them, whatever they try to be provocative to us when putting on weird outfits and styles of clothing can never be compared to what we did in "our time". Telling them about the "swimming -with-your-jeans-on" craze of the late 60s and early 70s they look at me in disbelief but some have come back and told me that had found the courage to ask their mums about it. With a smile on their faces they tell me, "My mum has done that,too." Ladies, where have you gone, where are you? If there is anyone of you here reading this forum, please say it aloud,

"I AM A JEANSSWIMMER AS WELL!"
