Just seen Half A Sixpense on TV up to its wet look musical number , which reminded me that I once read that the rain dance filmed on location at Henley, with lots of ladies in Edwardian Dresses as Tommy Steele sings Never Let It Rain On Sundays was filmed with hoses and hidden showers, but used so much water that it raised the river Thames by several centimetres. Could any film claim to be any wetter than that?
