You will have to experiment -- everyone has their own preferences, of whatever to them feels the nicest when it's wet, looks the nicest, etc. And there are no simple answers. T-shirts, for example, can be made in a variety of materials and thicknesses, all of which feel different both dry and wet. I'd have to check which still have labels and read up on what precise materials make for the best t-shirts.

Experiment, try everything, see what you prefer.
