The WamBank site is now one month old and is blossoming really nicely in such a short time. We are really pleased to see you all participating and we hope you will come back often make this site at the top of the list in your bookmarks. We are currently working on developing lots of new features for the site, and in the next few months you are going to see a lot of new and fun things being introduced that we think will keep you highly entertained.

However we must now tighten up things on the site in relation to the upload rules, because a small minority of uploaders have been breaking the rules and causing us problems and complaints from other websites and clip-makers, who have been making complaints about a small group of "recyclers" we have that are not following our rules and appear to be uploading clips that they did not make themselves.

PLEASE NOTE: Our rules about what clips you can and can not upload to this site are very clearly posted in several places -- i.e. if you did not make the clip yourself, you cannot upload it. We have stated this many times, yet some folks are "scavenging" from Rapidshare and Youtube and from Wamtec Gold and the WetinRed site and JW clips site and Dino's site and ECgunge site and KBCwam movies site and Tom's Achtung Wetlook site and several other mainstream sites like Bollywood sites or MTV sites etc etc etc. Our moderators have been catching and deleting as many of these erroneous uploads as we can, but now this is placing a great administration burden on our staff - and repeated abusers keep violating the rules, so we must implement a much stricter policy on uploads now. So....please pay attention if you are an uploader.

We will re-state things a different way. Uploaders...ask yourself one question...do you have a capture card and video editing software, and or do you shoot videos with your camcorder, digital cam or cellphone.. If the answer is "no"...then you should not upload clips to this site.

The actions of a few thoughtless people can give our site a bad name on the forums, so we must have tight rules in place to reject any clips we feel show signs of being recycled or taken from other sites. The following conditions in future will cause a clip to be automatically rejected:

1: Any clip that has a website address on it will be checked to your wambank user account profile, and if that is not your reported website address per your account profile, then the clip will be rejected. We can only allow website addresses, tags or logos on clips if that is your OWN website.

2: Any clip that looks too pixelated with artifacts (square boxy fuzzy look) will be a red flag to us that this is a low res clip taken from Youtube or other mainstream internet sites (and we do not allow Youtube clips or mainstream clips to be uploaded). If you make the clips properly yourself from your own recordings, then they will look decent and without artifacts. We will reject all clips with obvious artifacts on them because we give everybody a 50 meg allowance to upload their clips, and that allowance is AMPLE space in order to make decent looking clips at a high bit rate and that should negate the need for any pixelation effects to be seen.

3: Any clip that has a Divx logo on it...must be an original Divx clip and be in AVI format. We are seeing numerous recycled Divx clips being converted to WMV or MPG format, and that is unacceptable. We will reject clips that have Divx logos but are not in AVI format, because those are recycled clips taken from Rapidshare or other sites etc. We only want "original" Divx clips in AVI format to be uploaded -- not recycled or converted Divx clips

4: The biggest problem are the folks who repeatedly upload amateur video clips to the tv or movie categories, when they have not contacted us beforehand to confirm with us that they are the copyright holders of those clips. We have had several cases of people taking clips from other Wam Producers copyrighted tapes or online sites and trying to upload them. None of those ever got onto the site because we kept deleting these clips, but those folks who keep doing this and upload amateur videos or unknown footage from wam producers, are causing us extra admin time for our moderators to monitor them. PLEASE NOTE: we now have a watch list system in place and we are flagging certain users who repeatedly violate the rules and we have to reject too many of their submissions, and soon we will begin to charge some of these users with an admin charge for the extra work they cause us.

We monitor all the major forums each day and are cognizant of new things being uploaded to Rapidshare, so we know what new clips come from Rapidshare sources. We have a close relationship with the other clips sites like the WetinRed site, Wamtec Gold Site and ECGunge site and we know whether a clip came from one of their sites...so please respect those webmasters and do not upload any of their clips.

One last tip for Uploaders -- some uploaders get disappointed when we reject their clips because we already have the same scene on the site too many times. There is a way you can check to see if a clip is already on the site -- just type the name of the tv show or movie or actress into our search engine before you upload. Then you will see if the scene

is already there.

We want this site to be as fun and as big as you want it to be -- but also to be a quality site with only the best clips on it. There is no point in making a site that is low quality like Youtube is -- so please

put only "original" clips onto the site, because all our account holders know the wam culture well and they just want to see quality original clips you have made yourself.

This site can be as good as you want it to be.
