StuffIt Standard for Windows also does RAR. Anyone out there who's stupid enough to use StuffIt for Windows (i.e. me ;-) will find it does the job. So does 7-Zip apparently so you have a choice of archivers. Neither program can create RAR files but honestly I find the need for RAR to be very dubious as it never achieved a great deal better compression over PKZIP 2.
My personal suggestion for anyone wanting to use an tighter format would be BZip2, or a tarball (Tar+GZip). Mac OS X can open tarballs as can most archivers, but BZip2, while superior, is not well-supported. My ageing copy of StuffIt Standard can *create* a BZip2 tarball, but StuffIt's taken a lot of flak lately for problems. 7-Zip can also create BZip2 archives though.
But please do not call RAR a "zip" file, anyone. "Zip" generally refers to the late Phil Katz (PKWARE)'s PKZIP format that has not been modified since the mid 90s that I know of. (Zip is very out of date) RAR is a "compressed archive" format - the Roshal Archive (created by Eugene Roshal). |

By DjDave - Thu 26/10/06 08:24:08 GMT The downloads of the Shannon photos are in a compressed package called RAR, similar to ZIP. To uncompress them, you need a free uncompresser called WinRAR. You can download this program here:

Other Shannon wet jeans photos are:

Does anyone know if there are more around?
