I am using the happauge PVR 250 card succesfully. She does real mpeg2 (with own processor) and goes up to DVD quality. That means you will be able to make digital copies of your tapes without lost almost. Than I use the Tmpeg encoder to transform them from DVD to divx.

This card costs about 160Euro.

I have about 25 tapes of wetlook from television. Would like to copy them to my computer. A Video card is bringing only very poor results. Is anyone able to give me a tip, with which hardware I`m able to get results with good quality without paying a fortune? How you are doing the clips? On which URL a posting would be possible? Thanks for your help in advance.
