Noooo!!!!
The whole point is that you just wear normal clothes :) And showering in them first is cheating, you have to start dry before you slide or jump into the pool :) |

By Wamstrad - Mon 23/10/06 14:21:25 GMT When I joined the health club I went to, I asked if it's okay to wear clothing in the pool, and showed the staff a longsleeved cotton teeshirt and trackies I'd swum in at another local pool. They said that's okay, as long as I only wore them in the pool (i.e. not for everyday wear) and changed into and showered in them before (and after) swimming. Good strategy, because health clubs are marketing themselves to you, and if they decline the right to swim clothed they must realize they'll lose your business :-)

In reply to Message (25392) public pool swim
By jw_waterboy - Mon 23/10/06 09:09:29 GMT Hello fellow wetlookers. I have recently joined a small gym in my hometown. They have a wonderful pool that I use a few times a week for excercise. I wear the usual swim trunks, fins, and mask. The other day I was thinking "why not wear my clothes in the pool?" Besides the awesome feeling that I would get, I also was thinking that it would give more resistance in the swimming aspect, making my workout more productive as well as pleasureable. I would not wear shoes, just freshly washed pants and a shirt. Should I do this? Please give me some inputs. I am eager to hear what you all have to say about this.
Thank you.
