I agree with whoever said the Nikon D50. It's a good camera. The Canon PowerShot series G1, G2, probably G9 by now, are good little cameras for the price. Being a professional photographer, I use the Canon 30D or the Canon 400D. The 400D is a bit more reasonably priced. 30D is around $1500 and the 400D is under $800. Both give great results. Personally, I like SLR (single lens reflex) cameras; they produce a more true to film image. The CCD lens cameras are actually video lenses which snap a vidcap more or less and the quality varies greatly. Again the Canon PowerShot G series is CCD, but they produce great results for the price. Hope that helps a bit. Gregg, Interwet2001

In reply to Message (25257) Question to producers about equipment
By aquanylons - Sun 15/10/06 18:06:02 GMT If you don't mind sharing info, just wondering about the equipment wetlook producers use to for shooting stills and video. Thinking of jumping into a digital camera (from my old Nikon F3) and hopefully start shooting some material again this coming spring/summer after years of not shooting. Can't afford a real expesive camera at this time, but something decent to take decent pics.
Thanks for any and all info.
