Thanks for the info and input.. Sometimes, even in "Real life" I am too nice for my own good but I do try to look after everyone.. Sucks to be me sometimes LOL
Actually, VISA/MC have some odd standards about "adult" material. Although, I ( and most ) wouldn't consider this adult material, I rather take a hit sometimes than lose it all. In the summer of 2005, I had about $7,000 in chargebacks for items shipped.. THAT HURT! Most card processors require"Proof of Delivery". Since there is no "delivery" it makes it much harded. Just had one for $1444.00 last month and even HAD proof of shipment, ect.
I DID contact one of the women today.. She was actually very nice once I called back... Seems it was her 19 1/2 yr. old son that took the info off her card. He tried to get the bill and pay it before she found it but he was a little slow LOL. Look like he signed up for a few sites, including mine and is no longer in her house and no longer has access to any computer in her house even if he was.
As for the other one in Alabama, I still have her on my list ( My list of HAVE TO DO'S GROWS DAILY) but I'll see what happens with her tomorrow... |

By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Fri 22/09/06 21:26:55 GMT I don't think you should be covering for your customers - at least not if it compromises your position to do so.
If I were in your situation, my first questions would be: "does anyone else have access to this card?" "have you confirmed that no-one with access to this card made this purchase?" If it's denied, I'd prove that goods/services were in fact delivered. In the case of downloads, I'd use logs to show what content was sent to what IP under the customer's account. I'm sure it would land my customer in hot water with his wife/girlfriend/parent, but better them than me. Operating with due discretion is one thing, but someone with business interests to protect should not have to sacrifice those interests to protect a customer from the consequences of his own bad judgement.
At least that's my opinion.

Okay guys... Having a problem here.. This has only happened once before and I covered someone's ass.. This week, it's gotten out of hand..
I have rec'd 3 different phone calls from IRRATE Wives/ Girlfriends/ Moms/ WHATEVER this week and they expect calls back... I will begin calling them back tomorrow as I have no choice.. That or take Fraud / Chargeback hits. One in Alabama is threatening Police, ect. Well, I may get the chargeback but since the CCV matched, Address matched and it went on for 3 months before she called, I'm not too worried....
My card processing is set up NOT to reflect Wetlook U or Messy U but you have to be a LITTLE more discreet or creative in your explainations...
If you know who you are, GOOD LUCK..
