If you are using Internet Explorer under Microsoft Windows, go to Tools > Internet Options and select the Security tab. Under the Internet zone (the first zone of the four), select Custom Level and scroll down to Scripting. Make sure Active Scripting is enabled. Note that this will enable JavaScript and VBScript for all sites not placed into other security zones. I hope this is safe! (Personally I don't ever use Internet Explorer for any sites I don't trust, and note that only IE has a such an excessive and confusing level of security controls!)
However, since you have no idea how to turn JavaScript ON, I have no idea how it ever came to be OFF in the first place, since I rather doubt you had anything to do with it. The more likely explanation is that you are running a firewall program which itself is blocking JavaScript. I would check there first, and especially if your Web browser believes that JavaScript is enabled.
For other browsers (e.g. Mozilla, Camino, Opera, Safari etc), you would have to tell us which browser you are using first. For Mozilla Firefox, its Tools > Options > Content > Enable JavaScript. |
