In a children's film, they aren't going to show a naked man in a bathtub! The movie The Toy, starring Richard Pryor, had a similar scene. Richard's character was a rich boy's servant. When the boy went to take a bath, he said he wanted Richard's character to get in the tub with him. Richard's character said "It wouldn't be right for a grown man and a little boy to be naked in the bathtub together, so let's take a bath with our clothes on!", and they did. The boy's dad, his dad's girlfriend, and the other servants thought it was wierd. |

By Roadrage - Thu 14/09/06 14:06:16 GMT I figured someone at this forum would know what's up with this. A few years ago while channel surfing stumbled upon a Pinoccio movie. Martin Landaeu played Gipetto (please excuse my horrible spelling). In one scene he was taking a bath in what appeared to be some sort of pajamas. For no reason and there was never an explanation why in the movie. Is this part of old Italian culture, like a modesty thing? I always thought Europeans were very comfortable with their nudity. Anyway I don't know why I thought of this today but it's just something I wonder about. Any info or opinions will be verey much appreciated.
