Unfortunately we miss an international Internet law, but it is probably reasonable to say that:

1) Any material, to which a license or a subscription is required (member pages, TV-programs etc.), must only be copied and used by the license holders or the subscribers - not by anyone else. Typically, the license or subscriber agreement gives you the permission to copy the material for your own use. Note that without such a permission you are not allowed to do that!

2) You are not allowed to sell any material unless you have the written permission from the original producer or copyright holder.

3) Material, which has been published for free in a public area of the Internet, is a gray zone. From a strictly juridical point of view it is probably still copyrighted, but in practice it may be regarded as public domain.

All wetlook producers have a problem. If they don’t show any pictures they will not get any members. If they do, the pictures will spread out over the Internet. There are several ways to deal with this problem. The pictures may be shown in a low resolution or with a watermark, but to try to enforce copyright laws for material, which has been published for free in a public area of the Internet, is to my opinion ridiculous. I think that for a wetlook producer the best solution is probably to put his web address on the pictures in a place where it do not destroy the pictures too much, but at the same time is very difficult to remove (transparent, no sharp edges etc.). In this way, their business card will spread out over the world. I have visited a lot of sites, where I have found the web-address on the pictures.
