I was actually walking by the fountain in question when I happened upon this scene...sadly, I did not have my camera. But someone else did, thankfully...

Additionally, if anyone is in the NYC area, they might want to check out the McCarren Pool parties in Brooklyn, held on Sundays through Sept. 3. Despite what the name implies, the pool is empty (it's been abandoned for years, now revitalized as a concert venue). But...they do have a large inflatable slip-n-slide. Despite the relatively cooler weather recently, there were a number of girls at last week's concert who happily went down in dresses, jeans, etc. They're predicting similar weather for this weekend, so it's well worth it, IMO. (I meant to take pictures, but as soon as I got there I realized my battery was dead! ARRRRRRGH!)
