I have managed to collect most of the versions of this show...i.e. the original Italian version, then I have many shows from the Polish and Romanian and Mexican versions...and currently I am collecting the latest version being aired in Brazil. The only version I was not able to get on tape was the Hungarian version of this show...so if anybody from Hungary collected those and wants to trade tapes or DVDs....just email me.
FYI...the original owners of the show (Mediaset from Italy) also sold the rights to this show last year to Russian televsion, Lebanese TV, and Quebec TV too...but so far I have been monitoring the Russian, Lebanese and French-Canadian satellite channels and those versions have yet to be broadcast yet....so perhaps the show will debut in those countries soon.
It it highly unlikely that this gameshow will ever appear in the USA or UK...cos it is far too politically incorrect for American and UK tv audiences.....so it can only air in countries where political correctness has not taken over the country.

In reply to Message (23913) Question about Ciao Darwin show
By Desert Hawk - Sat 29/07/06 17:37:58 GMT I really love the vidcaps from the Ciao Darwin gameshow with the tubes that fill with water. I was wondering, what determines when and how much water is added to the tube? Do the contestants get asked questions, and when they give a wrong answer water gets added? I assume it is the last person with their head above water that wins. What kind of prises do the winners win? What kind of parting gofts do losers get? Do prospective contestants audition for the show, or do they select contestants from the studio audience? Do contestants know in advance that they will be getting wet, or are there other dry games on the show and they don't know what game they will be playing until the show starts? It sure looks like an interesting show. I wish there were a U.S. version. |
