Hi,
copy the URL (not the one above - the one in the bar right beside the video display). Go to http://keepvid.com/ and paste it into the URL bar on that site. Right beside the URL bar is a roll-up. Chose "youtube" or any source you want to download from. Click download. Wait a few seconds. Click "download link" (right click and save target as...) The file name must end with ".flv" if it does not, rename it and ad .flv . Before, you should download the FLV player. It's free and just a small tiny programm (2,5MB). There are lots of sites offering an flv player for free. Google for it.
good luck!

In reply to Message (23745) Saving YouTube videos
By Anonymous - Fri 21/07/06 07:48:16 GMT I am on the world's slowest dial-up connection and would like to save some youtube videos. I use Firefox and downloaded something that was supposed to work but doesn't. How do you download these things? Can anyone point me in the right direction? What do you guys use? Do you convert them to WMV easily? I have some computer skill but it is limited. Thanks for any help you may be able to offer me. |
