I have know idea. It's the first time I see such pics. Poland is sadly "western Europe" as shoes are concerned. Maybe it's just a Russian tradition, maybe even just Belarusian (the pictures are from Belarus). But it is an interesting topic, maybe someone from Russia or Belarus can help.

Do Russian girls usually get wet wearing their shoes (well, obviously) ? There must be a cultural difference with Western Europe where 90% of the girls take them off before taking the plunge.
