I'd have thought that however good the media conversion software is, it couldn't improve the quality of the video to a better resolution than the original camera. So if a very cheap cam was used (say 320*200 pixels, 256 colours) then even with some clever interpolation and anti-aliasing you wouldn't get anything like the resolution of a decent cam... |

By WETINRED - stekz@cableone.net Fri 16/06/06 07:43:51 GMT Website: http://www.wetinred.com It is a cost saving procedure fro Youtube and others like it. They sacrafice quality for bandwidth/space. However, if u have some good converting programs, u can comvert these flash videos into "Loseless" avi's, or vcd/dvd mpegs and get some of the original quality back. |

By noname - Fri 16/06/06 03:20:26 GMT Hi,
for a couple of months we get links to loads of stuff from Youtube and similar video-sites. Nice. Well. But, IMHO - it's an uttermost waste of time and energy. The quality is worse than worst. Always. Even my radio plays better pictures. Does at least somebody know, WHY they deal on such a low quality level? BTW, please, don't play the "it's for free"-card. Youtube and Co. earn money with their sites.
Cheers
