The event was called "Fußball-Wattmeisterschaft" (mud flat soccer world championship). It was a fun event in northern germany (Brunsbüttel near Cuxhaven). Here is an artikel including some pictures on a german news site (german language only):

On picture 5 you can find two mud fans to renew their wetting ceremony. I'm shure this couple belongs to us ;-)

Hi wetlook friends

I just saw a wetlook and muddi scene in the german tv magazin taff on Pro 7 where 2 girls are playing mud football in the northsea and many others too. Must be a great event.

But I`m not able to capture it in a digital way. There is a repeat this night from 5.05 till 6.05 MESZ.

Would be nice if someone could capture it. Maybe Tom.
