Thanks MK - there is a swimming pool next to the foam party area, but I have a feeling that they are quite strict about foam and the pool getting mixed up. I'm sure the foam probably is no good for the chlorine in the pool, and this is probably why they ask for bikinis or shorts. But anyway, I suppose it may be worth checking out , seeing as we will already be there. Even if my wife doesn't get wet, she will still be wearing a little dress or skirt and just the chance that she may end up wet will make he evening that much more exciting !!!

I just came back from Pattaya last month.....and have seen some of the foam party stuff they do over there in Chiang Mai.....but I did not go to Hard Rock in Pattaya....so I cannot give you concrete information......but I am pretty sure about this....

...the good news is.....miniskirts and wraps and tops are pretty much the norm everywhere in Pattaya.....and I am pretty sure you will have no problem getting in to Hard Rock in whatever attire you want.....thats not the problem.....

...the bad news is.....I am sure this foam party will be like all the other foam party events I have seen in Thailand.....i.e. it's a 100% foam experience....with absolutely no water source nearby (i.e. no pool or showers).

The real question to ask the Hard Rock people is....do they have a pool or showers in their club...and I am certain the answer to that is no......

So...you should have no problems gettin in.....but this will not be a "wetlook experience"....if will be just a messy foam event.

This situation is pretty much the same in the UK and Germany and the USA....i.e. they have foam parties every week at South Beach in Miami....but they are all hopeless...cos they are "all foam...and no water source". Same is true in Germany....the ONLY foam party location that used to be any good...was at the ALCATRAZ night club...cos they had a swimming pool right next to where the foam party tent was set up.....but that club has since closed down.

You need to have a genius like Leonmoomin to make wetlook things happen at foam parties....i.e. in the UK Leon will organize foam parties....but he ALSO sets up his dunk tank at the same venue.....smart thinking......but sadly most other foam party clubs don't do things like Leon does.

Hi All,

Off in 2weeks to Thailand with my wife and have just contacted the Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya about their Foam Party. I got a reply telling me that it indeed still takes place every Saturday, but guests could only wear bikinis or shorts. Has anyone been there, and is this strictly enforced?

I am hoping that a mini dress or skirt would be OK for my wife, but it's probably not going to be worth paying the entrance fee if we won't be allowed in, and even more so if everyone is only wearing bikinis - might as well stay by the pool during the day time rather than waste a night out.

Any info would be gratefully received.
