North of London? Anywhere along the River Lea, much of the extent of which is bordered by footpaths. A bit farther north, there's Barwick ford, on the River Rib near (of course) Barwick, Herts. I live in Cambridge and pass these spots regularly on cycling trips to London.

Can anyone help?

I recently bought a car. I spent an hour today driving round the countryside north of London looking for a river or lake to dunk myself in, and couldn't find ANYTHING!

I know there's a drought going on but this is ridiculous!

Anyone out there know of any good places for swimming in clothes in this area?
