I think that half of the excitement of "wetlook" is because the girl getting wet is doing something just a little "naughty". If society accepts swimming in a swimming suit, then there is nothing "naughty" about swimming in a swimming suit, no matter how prevocative. Add the "unexpected" aspect of fully clothed swimming, and the sight can be breathtaking.
A sexy, and revealing, swimming costume, without the "naughty" component, is the other half.
To get the whole I suggest the following:
"The more inappropriate the clothing is for swimming, the more appropriate the clothing is for wetlook". It also has the "unexpected" and "naughty" elements that make "wetlook" so interesting to me. |

By Zamboni - Sun 09/02/03 01:04:21 GMT My gues is that when women go swiming they like to feel sexy and i dont think swiming in a suit made for swiming would give that effect.Although it probably would be good to see once in a while. |

By klm4748 - Sat 08/02/03 18:11:59 GMT A few people below put swimsuits in the least favorite. So I'd like to know-- If your female friend absolutely has to buy a swimsuit but you get to pick it out for her, which would you prefer? I once saw an ad for a suit, but I've never actually seen anyone wearing it, that was really just a camisole and drawstring surfshorts. Why can't that catch on? If nothing else, then that would at least enable more women to wear actual camisoles and regular shorts if they don't have suits and wouldn't otherwise swim clothed.
