There are certain rules of economics at work here. An individual purchases a tape, CD or whatever from a commerical producer. Cannot he/she sell it when it has been used. Every product made eventually is either resold, recycled, or junked at some point in its economic lift. Is there some sort of vow that a purchaser must make to the producer that the item will never, never be sold, but will be buried with the purchaser in a manner of ancient Egypt?

Come now. The item was made and sold, presumably for a profit. When the purchaser is finished with it, what either economic or moral force dictates that he/she may not dispose of it, even for profit?

Note: I am NOT talking about copies of legitimate purchases. that is another issue.
