There are several ways to save youtube-files.
I prefer http://keepvid.com/ , where you have to enter the url of the youtube-video and then you get a link, where you can download the file. Afterwards, you usually have to change the file extension to .flv.
If you cannot or do not want to watch .flv-files, I recommend "Total Video Converter" ( http://www.effectmatrix.com/total-video-converter/ ) to convert it into mpeg, avi or whatever you want (very useful tool...and free).
