That was a nice (for my taste) scene from a 1974 (or was it '73) McCloud, where a pre-Charlie's Angels Jaclyn Smith falls out of the boat in Central Park. I've reviewed that scene many times, and I'm convinced it's her, and not a stunt double. It wouldn't satisfy the purists, though, since you only see her from the waist up, and there are no emerging or after shots. Again, that was when I had to see the scenes "on the fly", as they happened, with no way to capture or preserve them. |

By MK - wamtec@compuserve.com Fri 03/03/06 22:08:12 GMT With the recent passing of comedy favorite Don Knotts, there have been some other notable passings in the past few days too....including Dennis Weaver (who can ever forget his memorable performance in Stephen Spielberg's first film DUEL, and later as McCloud), and also Darren McGavin...who's "Night Stalker" series was a cult favorite long before cheesy CGI effects existed.....and now I feel really old, cos I see that Jack Wild passed away this week...and to me Jack Wild will always be a kid...as the "the artful dodger" in OLIVER and later as the kid in the HR Pufnstuff series.
Sheesh...for Cheleas fans..I see former Chelsea soccer star Peter Osgood also passed away this week....and I met him a few times cos after he retired from football he used to play cricket at my Dad's cricket club in Kent he would sometimes be on the vistors team.
The beauty of celluloid film is....that people can live forever in the archives of television and movie history.
