I still have not figured out why in the USA the GEICO insurance company always uses a lizard with a "barrow boy" (street market seller) British accent. I know that a lizard is a Gecko...so thats why Gecko = Geioco....but why the limey accent....the lizard speaks like wot I do...ha ha. I mean...GEICO is an American Insurance company...so why use Brits in an American commercial....go figure.....oh...I get it...they want to portray that their insurance prices are the cheapest ....so they pick a low class accent to make the lizard sound like a used car saleaman.

In the 1970's the commercials were a lot easier to understand....i.e. anybody remember the classic "Cadbury's flake" adverts in the UK in the 1970's....where the girl use to play with the chocolate bar like a phallic symbol....ha ha
