I am pretty sure we are correct WIR.....
Production stills and publicity stills are fine...for what they are....but movie posters and promo pics are often misleading....and cause wetlook fans to waste their money renting a DVD...looking for a scene that does not exist. We can provide a "de-bunking" service....to warn wetlook fans not to waste their money looking for scenes that don't exist.
I am sure we have all had that experience...where you rent or watch a film....and then feel cheated cos the scene you expected to see was not there. That is fine....if the film you watch happens to be a good film anyway....i.e. even if there are no wet scenes...a James Bond film is a James Bond film....and always entertaining to watch.
What gets me though...is having to endure a really bad film....just cos you thought there was a wet scene...and it does not exist...so you feel you just wasted you money or 2hrs of your life.
There are MANY examples where we can de-bunk scenes that don't exist....e.g. take this awful stinker of a movie called ONLY YOU...with Marisa Tomei....the ONLY interesting thing about this film...is the movie poster and video cover....showing Marisa in the fountain her in wedding dress....

but does this scene actually exist in the film.....nope....it is totally missing....
You can find dozens of wetlook myths and misleading movies....even in old films... .ie.. look at this pic of "Ginger" actress Tina Louise...from the movie "Gods Little Acre"...

That scene does not exist in the film either...

By Turtle - Thu 26/01/06 15:04:34 GMT I think it was a publicity photo shoot in US magazine if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to watch the movie again but wasn't Halle Berry in at least two wetlook scenes. She was wearing that brown leather catsuit when that ice castle was melting on her. I know that the scenes were quick but this is Halle Berry we are talking about. |

By WETINRED - stekz@cableone.net Thu 26/01/06 12:01:33 GMT Website: http://www.wetinred.com Well....I don't recall a scene like that. Besides...look at the facial expressions. U can clearrly tell that this was a staged still. But a nice one, tho |

By MK - wamtec@compuserve.com Thu 26/01/06 11:41:39 GMT Anthony....correct me if I am wrong......but I don't recall any such scene like this in the movie....so I think that this is just a publicity still that has no bearing on the actual movie scenes....cos I don't recall any decent wetlook scenes in that film.
