Opera is now free (at least in the US) with no ads at all!! I like the mouse gestures in Opera. The only reason I don't use it more regularly is because Adobe's Acrobat Reader often misbehaves with PDF files (I believe this to be an Adobe issue, not Opera). Opening and closing tabs with mouse gestures is a real plus to Opera. I recommend others to at least give it a try, as well.

Firefox has an extension that allows you to tweak it for maximum speed (along with a single-click "repair" if you tweak too far). With the proper tweaks, I've found nothing loads pages faster than Firefox!!

I don't know why more people don't use Opera. It is faster than IE or Firefox by far and you can block pop-ups easily. You can dowwnload Opera for free with a small banner add in th eupper right corner or pay about $35.00 and make the add go away. I have been using Opera for over 4 years and haven't had any security issues and the newest version is very stable. It has many nice features such as a password "wand" that saves site passwords, a feature that brings you back where you were if you crash and you can easily open as many new windows as you want. To me Firefox isn't any different than IE except more secure. Try Opera and I doubt you will ever use a differnt browser again IMHO. www.opera.com
