Interesting! I don't really agree with the emphasis given to "dressy" and "ruining" - my experience has always been that pure wetlook doesn't ruin anything, you just hang the clothes up to dry afterwards (or possibly put them through the wash), and they're fine afterwards. Even things that say "dry clean only", most of the time these instructions are just to stop people washing things at 60 degrees and shrinking them, put them through at 40, or 30 for real delicates, on one of the delicate cycles, and they're as good as new.
