I could list all of my interests but there isn't room on the forum for it. Competitive pistol shooter, skeet shooting, building and flying model airplanes, photography, golf, skiing......... Get the point? People who don't have an interest in something often can't understand why others do. This is known as narrow-mindedness. I suppose wetlook is like that. One will ask you why all the excitement about the woman who just jumped into the pool in her cocktail dress while he has his nose burried in her shoe! If the fettish fits........... |

By Desert Hawk - Tue 18/10/05 01:31:22 GMT I do not try to hide my interest in wetlook, or numerous other oddities, from anyone. I have told many people about it, and posted about it on other websites. Most people I have talked to think it is a little wierd, a few think it is totally wacko, a few don't have any opinion. I actually met a few men on water rides who said they also like seeing women in wet clothes. I have other interests that people think is wierd. Many people, including some of you probably, wonder why a 36 year old man still loves playing arcade games and even has a Megatouch touchscreen machine by his bed. Or why I love riding amusememt park and carnvial rides (I went to the Kern County Fair 8 times this year amnd even took a week off work to go!). I collect coins, and noncollectors think that is a waste of time and money. People, i ncluding some of you when I mentioned this previously, think it is very wierd for an American to ahve a mint condition 500 euro note just to admire and the simple pleasure of knowing I own one (someone on Yahoo Finance asked if I need a large banknote to make up for size deficiencies elsewhere!). Every person on Earth would be considered strange by someone. Did you notice how I capitalized the word Earth? Many of us astronomy buffs do that! Enough rambling for now. |
In reply to Message (18793) Just thoughts
By Anonymous - Mon 17/10/05 07:04:37 GMT Any one found that their interest has often caused them to feel uncomfortable about themselves and who they are. Just thought it would be good to see what others think about how such an interest effects their relationship with society. I know for myself i often feel a little isolated in having this interest, and honestly quite often foolish, though i know it is not something i have much control over... perhaps its because of this one ecentricity, i dwell on it too much and give it too much weight when defining myself as a person...
Maybe having one specific interest such as this can be damaging because its easy to get caught up in what is really just a tiny part of who we actually are, because after all, if we knew everyones little eccentricities i am sure this one would be quite tame. I dont know, just thoughts i felt like bringing up, but does any one else ever feel that they give their interest in wetlook a disproportionate amount of attention in the context of life, the universe and everything etc. etc.??
...sorry for an incoherence... they are just thoughts, i would be interested in hearing yours...
