Yes....I encountered that "audio out of sync" bug in my earlier version of Pinnacle 7 too...where the audio went out of sync after I rendered.

Didn't they tell you....thats a special effect Pinnacle gives you.... called the "bad chinese movie" effect....also known as "The Michael Winslow effect" (he was the voice-master comedian on the Police Academy movies who could talk and move his lips at a different time like a bad chinese movie".....ha ha.

Thankfully when I upgraded to Pinnacle 9plus they got rid of that annoying out of sync audio bug.

I too use Pinnacle.. At some point, I upgraded to Version 8.6 or blah blah and had too many problems. I ended up having to uninstall it and re-install my original 8.1 or 8.2.. I can't rem. which.

It has actually worked decent most the time until the latest trip to the cutting room. Oddest thing... It pulled the video, created the video with all the sound and things looked good. Burned it to DVD and thought I'd take a look.. About the middle of scene 4, the audio "goes off track" and runs about 15 seconds behind the Video. To this day, I still don't understand why. I recut, reburned and BAM.. SAME DEAL. The preview on Pinnacle seemed fine and played fine. There wasn't a gap or didn't appear to be in the audio section but.. Oh well..

I ended up using another program to take the raw edited footage and burn it where the audio match the video. I can't WAIT to see what Pinnacle does next time on the next project.

I’ve still finishing off the final edits for the new Minx video, M17 - Wet All Over…

I've been using Ulead Media Studio 6.5 for editing videos for a few years, and was basically happy with it, but in the last few weeks it has become unstable, and keeps crashing (Win2K). So I upgraded to version 7 - looks much the same (I hate it when the interface changes for no good reason) and seemed to work fine with my previous projects, set up for all the scenes on M17 ... however, it wasn't until I started recording back to DV tape that I realised they've screwed the audio tracks up !

Audio tracks are now AVERAGED !!! ARGH - what that means is that if you want to add in some background music, and keep the original soundtrack, then when the music track starts, the original sound level sudden drops ! An the music is not at it's original level either... God only knows why they did that - and without any mention of it, or a simple tick box to make thinks work how they used to !

I've had to go through all the scenes boosting levels, and re-doing the cross-fades (they must now be log fades to avoid a dip in levels) - bastards - end result - M17 is still in final preparation - sorry to all those asking me about it.

Anyhow, just had to have a quick rant, and pass this on to anyone using Ulead.
