Actually, it's black paint.

Read an article where she talked about having to repay the hotel for damage after she showered off in her suite following the shoot. Love to be a fly on the wall for that!

Mud/mess fans should look out for Shakira's new video "La Tortura". She gets down and dirty in brown/black mud/oil (not quite sure exactly what it is, but she looks really good in it).
