Thanks.
As I met my wife in London, my wife is a Londoner, her and my parents were Londoners and most of my wife's family still work in London, I guess I know how Londoners react.
When I spent a lot of time in London in my early teens, there were frequent bombings and even more frequent bomb scares, but everyone just had the attitude to get on with it and not let anyone disrupt our lives.
On the tea thing, my wife and I worked in hospitals and it was standing joke (although true) that if you were a relative accompanying a patient and were offered a cup of tea, you knew it would be bad news. |

By soggybottom - Thu 14/07/05 18:30:48 GMT We love London and it's people when we visited there. We were made to feel at home. London and Londoners have survived The Blitz, bombings and the Beetles. With the free world beside them, they can survive anything. We'll be back to visit. No raghead bomber will stop us. Best wishes! |

By Jay - Thu 14/07/05 15:52:33 GMT Brian just wanted to commend your listing of quotes after the bombings. The tea ones some it all up nicely I think. I remember the Docklands bomb, my brother was working there at the time, there was huge devistation but nothing that stopped people with getting on and especially dusting themselves down and drinking free tea.
