Yes, the U.S. trained and equipped BinLaden's men and helped Saddam rise to power when we should have been minding our own business. We need to ask why. We did need to try to undo both of those problems that we helped create. But the answer, in my opinion, was not marching troops through Iraq. The people of Iraq, and even the armies of Iraq were not our enemy, Saddam was, personally. That calls for a covert operation, a sniper bullet to the forehead. We don't launch wars to save people from bad leaders anywhere else, we assist in their overthrow if we get involved at all. This was about something else, cheap oil contracts for Bush's buddies to get rich on, and so Americans can keep burning cheap oil and causing global warming to pump up the economy. It was about demonstrating to upstart nations that we could do it. The bottom line is, you don't fight terrorists with conventional troops, they aren't lined up with uniforms on, it should be a CIA issue. And we didn't go into Iraq because of terrorists. Very few terrorists were Iraqi, still aren't, what we see there now is a covert operation civil war and a third world power struggle, not terrorism. It is still to be seen if it is possible to control mayhem in Iraq without using the tactics that Saddam used. Iraqi's in general weren't sitting around just waiting to love their Shiite-Sunni-Kerd neighbors equally. If we needed to use troops to fight terrorists, Saudi Arabia would have been the place, but wait, we already get good oil deals from the government of Saudi Arabia. No need to replace them with someone frendlier.

Everyone who denegrated George Bush and Tony Blair on the 4th of July must be proud of themselves for collaborating with the terrorists and giving them fuel to the fire. Every time you post an article denouncing them, you provide aid and comfort to the terrorists by making them believe that we agree. Thanks. Keep up the great work. I'm sure you'll be pissed if we don't save your asses when we don't save you from these Islamic fundamendalists when they try to shut down your access to wetlook on the internet.
