Michael is probably sad that Scott Peterson can't join him and Robert Blake for the celebration. Or Bruce Sons, from right here in Bakersfield, who murdered a CHP officer in 1994 and claimed self defense. He was convicted in the first trial, but the verdict was thrown out on a technicality. He recently had a second trial, which ended in a hung jury. Now there will be another trial. I sure hope I don't end up on that jury. Back in 1999 I was on a jury. The verdict was not guilty. We thought the defendant probably did the crime, but were not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt. That is probably the same with the Michael Jackson and robert Blake juries. In 2001 I sat in a waiting room all day and never got near a courtroom. In 2003 the prosecutor excused me. EVERY FREAKING TWO YEARS IS TOO OFTEN TO BE CALLED FOR JURY DUTY!!! |

By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Mon 13/06/05 16:42:18 GMT Well said.
It could also be worded as: "the jury failed to return a 'guilty' verdict". Courts are supposed to reveal the truth; whether they actually do or not is an entirely different matter.

By Desert Hawk - Mon 13/06/05 15:58:43 GMT Michael Jackson will probably celebrate with Robert Blake. I wonder if this verdict is the right one. Next week I too will serve jury duty, like I seem to every freaking two years. |
