MK, I live in Florida as you do. I have often taken trips to a couple of the theme parks in Orlando, for no other reason but to take pictures. It costs about $100.00 overall, for film, tickets, parking, and overall expenditures. However, with the theme parks in Orlando that have those giant water flume rides, it is a virtual non-stop wetlook extravaganza. I have sometimes shot 5 or 6 rolls of film of girls getting wet in clothing, standing on the bridge where the splash hits. Only about 1 in 50 people wears a swimsuit, and there are swarms of people, hundreds at a time, that pack the bridge where the splash hits.

Jeans, skirts, dresses, shorts, everything, they all get wet. If I had a small enough camcorder, I would do that as well.

THIS is where the future resides in candid wetlook photography. This would mean something like 200 to 300 girls a day getting wet, fully clothed, from March to November.

I remeber once at Fleetwood Lancs above all places wachin a motor bike gang arrive at the beeach around 6-00PM. After a bit fo a gan on the beach the lads took their shirts off and waded into the sea for a swim. It didn't take long for the girls to join them what a sexy sight. It was very fashoinable in those days to take you shirt off before going into the water.

MK, your early 70's stories about the mod girls' outfits on the beach sound incredible! If you got 1000 tipsy young girls on a beach like that in 2005, not a single one would have on tights and go-go boots......

Just jeans, jeans and more jeans. It's as if tights, pantyhose, stockings have disappeared from young girl's fashion during the last 10 to 15 years. I am too young to have been around in the late-60's/ early 70's, but I'm sure there was a LOT better candid wetlook back then, as far as mini-skirts and tights go (you probably saw some good stuff in those new year's fountain romps as well!) Image if the internet had existsed 35 years ago! Just think what all those webshot albums, pool party and foam party galleries would be like if they had had those kind of things going on around 1970......!!!!

Sadly...this is 2 major wetlook sources we have lost this year. The first was the demise of the ALBANY fountain day events...those are now to all extent and purposes....dead.....and now we hear that Trafalgar Square is now going to be as restricted as the Trevi fountain in Rome is.....i.e. no matter how hot it gets...nobody will be allowed in the fountains any more....what a shame. I used to enjoy revelling in that fountain during New Years' celebrations in the early 70's...and then they banned all that to.

What this all means is....just like when a famous painter like Picasso died....his paintings were suddenly incredibly valuable and worth millions. Therefore...as from tomorrow the Apex Trafalgar Square tapes and Albany tapes will now be sold at $1000 each....ha ha...just kidding. In fact we have lowered prices on all these DVDs recently.

Seriously though....it does mean that with our 2 best sources of wetlook now "extinct"...we will need to scout out some new locations to go. Leon has been creating lots of wetlook action inside the clubs in the UK...and Wet Brian has found lots of other interesting events to go to...e.g. such as the river rafts races and It's A Knockout events.

Maybe we should throw a wreath into Trafalgar Square....to pay tribute to the death of wetlook ....our "Mecca" for wetlook has been extinguished.

Oh well....it was fun while it lasted.
