Firstly this has not been taken that seriously , the whole point of the voting war is FOR FUN. I dont see how people offering pictures and videos in return for votes is rubbish. All it is doing is asking people to jump in and fun also.

I had no intention if witholding the 110 photos i have if i won or not. I myself have been ploughing pictures to this community for some time now and so has others. For us all to get into a freindly war over it is just pure fun. I dont think anyone takes it seriously to be honest. I myself have had great fun in inticing people to vote, fair enough i had my winge on my site about the poor turn out , but i wanted a little bit of appreciation nothing more nothing less. So to those people who keep atacking the way producers have contributed sit down , enjoy the ride , and keep quiet cause dont forget its all comming your way for FREE.

My 2 cents said.

If anyone else wants to add to this by starting world war 3 again then fair dos.

I just hate it when people complain about all the free stuff there getting out of all of this. They dont see the bigger picture. If you dont like it LUMP it dont go to my site that simple.

I myself wont take it personaly if i dont win.

Though the WAM award is a good idea, I think some of us are taking it a bit too seriously. Like most other awards, it means little in the grand scheme of things. In the end, it does nothing more than massage the recipient's ego.

The point is being somehow missed here. Voters should take into consideration factors such as how long has the recipient been CONSISTENTLY making contributions to the community, rather than how many photos can be crammed onto the site during the last week of voting. We shouldn't be BUYING votes with the promise of free pictures; the idea is exactly the opposite -- the community should cast their votes for those who have contributed THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, whether it's pictures, videos, stories, or whatever else. Behavior like this is immature and merely cheapens the award. It also begs the question: if the candidates will only give out material in exchange for votes...and they LOSE the award...will material be WITHHELD in a similar manner, as a punishment to those who didn't cast votes in their direction?

Now that I've voiced my opinion (and likely opened a can of worms!), Happy New Year!
