I think both above mentioned reasons are absolutely legitimate. Some of them may have more weight on reason 1), some more on 2)

I do not believe that Nigel introduced the ban of criticism in order to keep the sales going - at least for me the main reason of that rule is to keep the athmosphere in this forum friendly & civilized. But then this is also an address to overreacting producers. Therefore I agree with Shadow: Jim, cool down & do not feel personally offended when some comments are not that positive as expected. By your reaction that small whining received much too much attention.

And, by the way, I like your stuff very much.

And, on the other hand I would be happy if people stop saying, I ONLY like wet Jeans, or only wet green skirts, or only wet fur coats or ONLY wet shoelaces or whatever been found as "request" here over the months. I think there is something for everybody around.
