That is great sluthing! I thank you both for the info.

I was hopeing to use a similar technique to find the other film. ie Find the studio that produced "Joan of Ozark" and/or that Joe E Brown was under contract to and seach for other films from that studio, but the IMBd does not include studio credits in it's info. Do you know of another movie dbase that does?

JJ...we have not only idenitified one of your mystery pics...I have found it on tape too..

We found this one I previously quoted

Another great pic from a mystery film we cannot identify...i.e. who is this actress?...it's on the tip of me !!! .... The only clues we have are...the copyright notice on the pic...i.e. it was a United Artists film released in 1947.

A movie buff friend of mine who has old Variety magazines and countless books on films, was able to research all United Artists films made in 1947...and by process of elimination....we narrowed it down to one film and one actress....i.e. that is MARIE WILSON from the 1947 film THE FABULOUS JOE

As evidence...here is a pic of Marie and you can see the resemblence

And the best news is....I thought this film would be impossible to find on video....but I just found a site that has it on VHS...and have ordered a copy....so I will let you know when the tape comes in.

This was great sleuthing work by a friend of mine...

Now.....if ONLY we can do the same thing...and try and figure out who this actor or actress is from this other mystery pic...
