Dear oh dear MK.......lmao.........maybe just as well I am a Scot who has no interest in football.....hehehe.....

...sorry, but I just HAD to comment on that one!!!!

...and for those who haven't got a clue what I'm talking about, the UK consists of 4 countries...England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and each country has its own national football (soccer) team.

David Beckham plays for England because he is English......he doesn't play for the UK because there's no such football team as the UK!

PS In case you're wondering why I use the Union Jack (UK flag) in my posts, it's because I asked Nigel years ago if he could include the National flags of the constituent Countries of the UK rather than just the Union Jack because I would have much preferred to post the St Andrews flag or the Saltire (Scottish flags), but unfortunately it never happened.

Good for them......but how can it be called the World series when other major baseball nations like Cuba, Japan, Mexico, Dominican Republic, China, Taiwan are not invited......I know...I know...those players are already participating....but they play for American teams though.

Imagine if the Olympic Games were run that way...i.e. all the best athletes in the world...don't represent their own country...they just represent whomever is paying their salary......David Beckham plays football in Spain...but he does not represent Spain in the "The World Cup" of soccer....he represents his own country...the UK. In football...the World Cup...really is...the World Cup....but in baseball...the World Series is really just "The American/Canadian series"

The weird thing is....everybody in this thread keeps referring to a "dive"...and even the Nabisco website called it a "dive" as well.....NOT TRUE

I have about 10 years of these scenes on tape....dating back to the early days when Dinah Shore used to do this as well...

...and I can tell you....NOBODY in all these years has EVER "dived" into the lake.

It's a JUMP....a LEAP...a PLUNGE....

I am always amused at the way some sporting events are described....

e.g. Major League Baseball calls their championships "The World Series".....but nobody else in the world is allowed to particpate except the USA....ha ha

Also...as a resident of the USA...I have a "green card"....guess what...it is not green...it is white and blue.

the Kraft nabisco open is at the end of the month.

I wonder if the game can be fixed so grace park can win again or if

Kristy Kerr wins it would be nice to see her to take the dive in champions lake.
