By JustAComment - Wed 26/01/05 07:27:08 GMT In order to get high quality video's you don't need to get a HDTV or a DVD recorder, there are easier ways. Personally I use ATI's TV Wonder, all you need to do is run an S-video cable (for higher picture quality) and audio lines to this device and then hook the device to your computers USB connection and thats it. You can now record high quality video's from TV to your computer. Once its on your computer you can do whatever you want with it, burn it to a DVD or CD or even shrink it and post it for other people to download it. The ATI TV Wonder is about $140 but I'm sure if you look around you can get it cheaper, and if you don't have a DVD recorder for your computer you can pick one up for $50 without a problem.
Hope this helps |

By Wam! - Tue 25/01/05 23:50:57 GMT As I was watching the end of The Amazing Race tonight, I started thinking What is the way to get the best quality recording from television? I remember MK bemoaning the quality of some of the clip tapes that he got, and I agree, although I must say rrecording shows on video has not been the easiest of tasks until recently.
So I guess what I'm asking is, is it worth it for me to try and get high definition television, with I suppose a DVD recorder to get really good quality recordings from television?
Suggestions?
P.S. I did record The Amazing Race and was able to record everything jumping in the pool! :-)
