A 500 note is not for everyday spending money. Only a complete idiot would attempt to make a small purchase with a 500. Such a person deserves to be laughed out of the store! 500s are for LARGE purchases! Furniture, jewelry, casino gambling, car repairs, gold coins, used arcade games, etc. I wish we had a $500 here in the USA. I have a 500 euro note. I got it on January 3, 2002. It is in a plastic holder. Large bills make nice collectables!
"Parthenophile" is a person who likes virgins. "Numismatist" is a coin collector. There is another word for paper money collector, "notaphilist". I am all those things, as well as a "philatelist" (stamp collector). And of course I am a hydrophile! I don't know the word for desert lover, but obviously I am one of those as well! |

By klm4748 - Tue 25/01/05 03:53:10 GMT Maybe I'm naive, but I'll say the woman is likelier a virgin than carrying a 500 euro note. It's not a very useful note-- European cashiers HATE giving change even for 100! And why should the note be polymer? I've never had a problem with wet money. The people at Denver's Waterworld and Six Flags won't even blink at a wet dollar bill, so I could just keep my cash in a zipped pants pocket all day. Now, a Polish bus driver did blink when I gave him wet money after an impropmtu swim, but who cares? He'll never see me again... |

Hmmm... I think this is a forum for tinxivestophiliacs(?) madidovestophiliacs(?) Is my attempt at coining a suitable latin term anywhere close to the mark?

In reply to Message (14278) an interesting question to ponder
By Desert Hawk - Mon 24/01/05 20:41:19 GMT I was wondering. Take any random woman 18-20 on the streets of any city in Europe. What is more likely: that she is a virgin, or that she has a 500 euro note in her purse/pocket? A strange question I know, but that is the sort of thing that a parthenophile numismatist thinks about!
I wish the euro notes were made of polymer. It would be cool to see a woman in a bathtub fully clothed with a 500 euro note floating in the water!
