Hmmm....depends on how many images in each gallery ur gonna put up. Also depends on the size and the quality of the resolution u want. To me, 1024x768 is perfect being around 125-300kb per image, or what we call hi-res. 800x600 or 640x480 is good for lower resolutions, keeping the file size around 75-125kb. Depends on ur camera.
200mb would be plenty be plenty of space for what u want to start out with. Again, depending on how many images u put in each gallery and the quality of the images, are some factors u need to consider.
3000gb???? for what? A month? A year? u need to be a bit more specific, I think. For a year that would be 250gb/month. U could probably put up 30 galleries of 100 images per gallery, and with 500hits/day and not come close to 250gb/month, lol. 3000 gb/month? Only site I know that does that is The Styx sites, and that's probably a conservative figure there.Depending on the traffic ur site will generate, I'd say anywhere from 50-100gb/month would suit ya just fine |
In reply to Message (13201.1) One more question
By Chris - Tue 16/11/04 15:08:12 GMT If the content were wetlook, would 3000GB of bandwidth be sufficient? There would be no video, strictly photo sets. Thanks for any guidance or input anyone can offer. |

By Chris - Tue 16/11/04 14:53:34 GMT I was hoping those of you with web experience might be able to help me out. If I were to start a website with about 6 photo galleries, would 200MB of web space be enough? I'm guessing it'll be plenty, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks!
