You will never make a video clip look better than the resolution of it will allow. As Anthony says, demo clips are usually low resolution (quality) to allow faster download and to control the bandwidth from the site its stored on. You will not make it look better by playing it on full screen or with a faster computer - unless the video clip is a high quality one. |

By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Sat 30/10/04 03:33:08 GMT Most players (including Windows media player) can be resized up to full screen. The two problems with larger sized rendering are:
1. Performance limits of the hardware (processor, disk, memory, graphics card) - will manifest as reduced frame rates, momentary "freezing", incomplete update of regions of the image.
2. Resolution limits in the source media. A lot of downloadable clips are made at reduced resolution / frame rates simply to make the files smaller for faster download. Beyond a certain sized playback you will start to see the limits of what was encoded to begin with.

By Larry - larry714@hotmail.com Sat 30/10/04 03:19:55 GMT I have been wondering if it is possible to do something to make viewing video on my computer better thru realplayer of winplayer at a bigger screen size. Would a better videocard do this? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated
