Although I only lived in Japan for 3 1/2 years my experience was that is one sexually repressed and bizzarre culture. I don't mean that as an insult in any way, it just is. They have loosened up in recent years but when I was there it was illegal to show pubuic hair, so all pictures either avoided that or in the case of Playboy and Penthouse magazines, all of the pubic hair was carefully scrathed out. Now here is the twisted part. Since pre-pubescent girls don't have any pubic hair it was perfectly legal to show them naked! Also prostitution is illegal there yet there were two huge red light districts in Tokyo, Kabuki-cho in Shinjuku, and Asukusa. There were probably more but those two areas were very large featuring hundreds of clubs with prostitutes from all over the world, catering to just about any desire. S&M and bondage also appeared to be popular themes in the published pornography along with the extremely popular school girl outfits. It wasn't hard to find pictures of school girls in wet clothes in the various magazines and "Idol" books. What was hard to find was girls swimming in clothes at the beach with the exception of occasional festivals in the coastal villages to celebrate and "bless" the fishing season. Men and women wearing the "uniform" of their particular shrine would carry a large portable shrine to the water and then into the water getting totally soaked in the process. I have a small amount of video of one of these events, not a lot of wetlook on it, but a little. Maybe I will send it to MK. The biggest thing I noticed is at least in the late '80s early '90s Japan was a very chauvanistic society and a lot of the sexual stuff was very degrading and demeaning to women, more so than what I have seen in the US or Europe. Interesting country Japan.

Well said. I'm not sure how much of the "low sex crime rate" is due to lack of reporting. Vice squads in our country would have a field day with the whole "compensated dating" thing in Japan. I'm talking about school girls dating middle aged business men for material gain. The Japanese give it its own name while the athorities turn a blind eye. We would just call it prostitution.

The Japanese are similar to our Puritans, in their attitudes toward sex. Only difference is, their women keep getting more and more attracted to the wealth and power of the west. Which leaves a bunch of 30 to 70 year old Japanese men with a rabid sexual appetite, and no women to satisfy it.

What you resist persists - if you resist being attracted to school girls (which society mandates) you become more and more attracted to them, provided that you don't have a healthy sex life with adult women who respect you.

Such is the conundrum of Japanese men. The weird and wonderful thing about Japan is this - they have an underground porn industry, of the most degrading and masoginistic (spelling?) humiliating to women CRAP that you've ever seen. Yet, their nation has one of the lowest sexual crime rates in the world??!??!??!

I would say - stop trying to make sense out of Japan's sexual culture. You'll sleep better.

I purposely avoided a referance to the site you had a link to, to save you possible embarrasment. I know you don't read Japanese. BUT, our Japanese Anonymous friend is right. Those real photos of someone in a school girl's sailor suit are pix of a guy. That is a whole different fetish world that is also out there in cyberspace; and, is out there in some people's reality.

See this link, this is a website with Japanese wetlook cartoons, they look great! But I found some old pictures from a girls in mostly the Japanese schooluniform that have been taken to use as an example for these cartoons!

There are also pictures of schooluniform been made wet to see the effect of wet clothing, really nice to see this site!
